The Learning Partnership is looking to appoint an experienced and strategic people leader as our new Director of People.
As a key member of the Extended Executive Team, the Director of People will shape and deliver the TLP People Strategy, ensuring our vision, values and strategic priorities are embedded across workforce planning, culture and development. At the heart of the role is our most important resource – our people – and creating an inclusive, high-performing organisation where colleagues thrive and pupils succeed.
Working closely with the Executive Team, Directors of Phase and Trust Board, you will provide strategic leadership across the people agenda, strengthening Trust-wide culture and ensuring consistent, high-quality people systems and services across our schools.
The Director of People will:
Lead the Trust’s People Strategy, aligning people, culture and organisational development with our strategic priorities.
Lead and develop the central People team, ensuring high-quality and consistent HR services.
Develop professional development, workforce capability and succession planning across the Trust.
Lead the Trust’s approach to pay and reward, recruitment, equality, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing and engagement.
Oversee payroll and the development of payroll and HRIS arrangements.
Ensure robust and compliant HR, safeguarding and safer recruitment practices.
We are looking for an accomplished and collaborative people professional with experience of strategic people leadership, organisational culture and change. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships, influence senior stakeholders and trade unions, and lead and motivate others.
Above all, you will bring a collaborative and improvement-focused approach, demonstrating equity, transparency and integrity while upholding the values of The Learning Partnership.
